📍Book Review📍

'Amongst the Believers' by Kochery C Shibu is a breath-taking saga of love, thrill, suspense and danger against the backdrop of war torn Afghanistan and Ukraine. Nanda, khusru and Rekha, these three are the main characters of the story whose entangled fates creates a web of espoinage, sacrifice and trauma.

Khusru a terrorist, Rekha a doctor/dancer and nanda accused of a murder were given a chance to redeem himself by joining RAW for a secret mission in Pakistan. All the characters were raw and brilliantly crafted with their respective plights and circumstances that adds more depth to the plot.

There are various scenerios in the story, where it left me teary-eyed due to the emotional depth given by the author in a very significant manner. Moreover, inculsion of war and political information in the story makes it bit intense and nteresting at the same time.

Each and every character depicts a different human emotion and side that leaves an indelible mark on readers. From Rekha's pain of living a life as a sex slave to khusru's hidden mission, this story has various sub-plots that joins the dots at a common destination.

The plot-setting was well-justified by the author as we are able to feel the premises of the story. Despite, the fact that it was a thriller don't know why? But, I had a great emotional connect with the characters on a personal level. Their broken complexities not only showcases the true picture of war torn peoples but, it also uncovers their real-life stories through fictional characters.

Apart from this, story travels multiple countries including America, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Pakistan and India making it a global story with dramatic elements.

In essence, it was a mind-boggling read with different shades of human emotions and thrilling elements that leaves no stone unturned to surprise the readers.

Must read❤❤
